Wolf Theater: Cliff & Jayson

On November 30th, 2010, Jayson Werth declined an arbitration offer from the Philadelphia Phillies. That ended a four year stint with the ball club in hopes of signing a long-term, big-money contract.  He succeeded in his quest when he shocked the baseball world and signed with the Washington Nationals, the cellar-dweller of the same division as the Phillies, on Sunday December 5th, 2010.  The deal? A healthy $126 Million dollars over seven years.  That’s a pretty penny.  Then, in a shocking turn of events, Cliff Lee, one of Werth’s best friends, decided to bypass more lucrative deals and re-join the Phightin’s.  This must have angered Jayson.  Werth has publicly stated that Lee hadn’t informed him of that decision, or even mentioned the chance of it.  Jayson was visibly upset.  The following clip provides a chance to see what most likely took place the first time Cliff and Jayson caught up.
